The Belgrade Fall Festival: The Season's Main Event

The Belgrade Fall Festival is the anchor of the local fall calendar. Organized by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Belgrade Fall Festival is a one-day community celebration held each September. In 2026, the fun takes place on Saturday, September 19, this year with a totally ’80s theme! The parade travels along Main Street and Broadway, while the festival, vendors, food trucks, Kids Zone, and activities take place along E. Cameron Avenue. Admission is free, and there’s fun for the whole family!

The day kicks off with the Panther Homecoming Parade down Main and Broadway at 10 a.m., celebrating Belgrade's schools and community pride. From there, the festival fills the park and downtown with arts and crafts vendors, a car show, a barbecue lunch, food trucks, and a kids' zone. It's the town at its most welcoming, which is a good reminder that Belgrade is a real Montana community first and a travel destination second.

The festival began decades ago as a harvest celebration, and that agricultural spirit still runs through the whole season. Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes Near Belgrade

Once the festival wraps, the farms take over. A handful of longtime family operations sit just outside Belgrade, and each one leans into the harvest season a little differently.

Rocky Creek Farm (Gallatin Valley Botanical)

About 15 minutes east toward Bozeman, Rocky Creek Farm has been a Gallatin Valley fall tradition for over 30 years. The farm runs a pumpkin patch with hayrides out to the field, plus apple picking and a historic cider press built into its blue barn, where you can watch fresh cider being made. The Fall Festival at the farm runs weekends from late September through Halloween, with a farm stand stocked through October.

The Bozeman Maze

Located on Valley Center Road between Belgrade and Bozeman, the Bozeman Maze is a straw-bale maze built from more than 5,000 hay bales, with a new design each year.

Beyond the maze itself, families will find hayrides, a mini-train, a bungee trampoline, corn bins, yard games, pumpkins, and concessions, including hot cider. It typically opens in mid-to-late September and runs through the end of October, with flashlight nights on select evenings. Montana Corn Maze

About 20 minutes west in Manhattan, the Montana Corn Maze offers a six-acre maze with three levels of challenge, a wagon ride out to the field, a barrel train for kids, mini golf, farm animals, and a small farmers market. It's a hands-on farm setting that's easy to spend a whole afternoon at, and it usually opens around September 20 for the season.

• Harvest markets and farm stands: Local farm stands and weekend markets stay stocked with pumpkins, squash, apples, and cider well into October, so you can pick up the season's best produce close to home.

After a morning in the corn maze or an afternoon of pumpkin picking, Belgrade's Main Street is a good place to thaw out. It's a short drive back from any of the farms, and you'll skip the crowds you'd hit closer to Bozeman.
